We welcome volunteers in many areas of the organization. Individuals or groups can work in the clinics or thrift store, from home, or at special events to help support Life Choices Women’s Clinics.
Ways to Get Involved
Donations – Monetary support will help ensure our services are available to many families.
Clinic Locations – Volunteers can help with clerical tasks, running errands and provide special task support necessary to keep the clinics running smoothly.
536 Thrift Store – Assisting with sales, item repairs, and donation pick-up are jobs that volunteer staff performs.
St. Gerard’s Treasures (Internet Sales) – Some donated items are sold on ebay or Craig’s List. We need volunteers who are familiar with internet sales to list items and process sales.
Learn to Earn Parenting Classes – We are looking for professionals who can serve as speakers to provide life skills and parenting lessons to our class participants. Volunteers are also needed to provide babysitting services for participants during the Saturday classes.
Mentoring Moms – Experienced moms who can offer information and guidance to help new moms feel more secure and less afraid in tackling new parenting responsibilities.
Prayer Partners – Miracles can take place through prayer. We need volunteers to help us pray for our clients who are considering abortion.
Events
Night for Life – Life Choices Women’s Clinic’s annual fundraising gala event. If you would like to serve on the planning committee to assist in theme, location, or decoration choices, or if you can assist in obtaining and preparing items for the Silent Auction, please contact us.
Cradle Sunday – Events held at local churches to collect money and baby items. If you would like to sponsor a Cradle Sunday event at your church, please contact us.
Boomerang Bottles – This 9-month, school-based program provides presentations on the birth cycle, and encourages students to collect donations of spare change in the baby bottles distributed during the program run.
Community Events – We are always looking for volunteers who can man the Life Choices Women’s Clinic booth and answer questions at local community events.
If you are interested in helping in one of these areas, or would like additional information, please give Sheila a call at (602) 305-5100.
